MARTA A VĚRA

Imagine you work for a discount & deals finder. You’re an idealist, and you must fight every day for your ideals against a pragmatic office mate and the boss who doesn’t stop at anything. That’s how it goes at Leeevne.cz. Here, every discount has its price. If Marta and Věra were not the employees of the discount portal Leeevne.cz, they wouldn’t have anything in common.

Together with their boss, Mr Brouček, they represent three world views while being characterised by a completely opposite attitude to life. Marta (Bára Poláková) believes that her job has a meaning and that through it, she helps people get a better life. She is happy when everything is a part of a system and she is full of illusions. Věra (Sabina Remundová) has – contrary to Marta – immense life experience which left her absolutely with no illusions at all. Improvisation brings her joy as well as survival in any – particularly the worst – circumstances.

The owner of the Leeevne.cz portal, Mr Brouček (Pavel Liška) is but a perfidious orc masked as a manager. His favourite activities include guidebook management, self-idealization, voyeurism and bullying his subordinates.

Their job – and from Marta’s perspective also the doing good – is slightly complicated by the fact that in most of the deals offered on their discount portal, there is the rub. A big one, most of the time.

As one knows, it is not easy – with such a fierce competition – to sell a ride in a chariot which doesn’t include a horse, or a shift in the Hlubina mine (literally meaning the depth) with only a one-way transfer. In the world of discount business and its sharp elbows, as well as in the real life, the rule is that every discount has its price.

In autumn 2016 the two undaunted protagonists are back with new and wild adventures in the unpredictable office jungle! In the second season of the sitcom, equipped only with their intelligence, humour and a stapler, Marta and Věra try to overcome new difficulties awaiting them at their quest for a better life in the world of discount finders. The main trio now becomes a quartet featuring also Brouček’s mother, impersonated by Marie Ludvíková.
